Solara owns operated and non-operated interests in various producing and non-producing oil and gas properties in Alberta. Although these properties generate production and revenue for the Company, Solara is not currently focusing resources on drilling or other optimization activities for a variety of reasons. In light of the lower selling prices for natural gas since late 2008, it remains a challenge economically to justify expending capital given other more attractive opportunities on oil prone projects.

Craigend/Sugden, Alberta

Solara owns lands and operates gas wells in the Craigend/Sugden area of northeastern Alberta. Generally, the gas wells are lower productivity in nature producing primarily from the Viking formation. The Company has a number of undeveloped sections of lands in the area which remain a potential resource for future development.

Majorville, Alberta

The Company operates several gas wells at Majorville which is situated southeast of Calgary, Alberta. These wells are shallow natural gas wells which produce at rates of less than 50 Mcf/d.
